
Leo Pritschet is a partner at Pritschet & Ureke, PLLC and is one of the pre-eminent immigration lawyers. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Summa Cum Laude, and obtained his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law Magna Cum Laude. He has practiced exclusively in the area of Immigration law for well over thirty years. In addition, he has also been a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association for over thirty years. Leo has built his reputation on his dedication to client service and his passion for client success. He provides outstanding immigration counsel to clients, and he is known for taking on the most challenging and complex cases.
Leo has been a presenter at the annual Conference held by the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, local Continuing Legal Education seminars, and the now popular telephonic Continuing Legal Education seminars. He has provided expert testimony on immigration matters in state and federal courts, and he frequently provides his advice as a mentor to other immigration lawyers across the country.
In recent years, Leo’s practice has concentrated on family Petitions, Adjustments of Status (“Green Cards”), Naturalizations, Employment Authorization applications, relief from removal before the Immigration Judges (Deportation proceedings), Waivers for Grounds of Inadmissibility, Waivers for Grounds of Removability, Waivers for bars to re-enter the United States, Appeals to the Administrative Appeals Office (regarding certain types of Denials issued by USCIS), and Appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (regarding certain types of Denials by USCIS, and also adverse rulings by the Immigration Judges), Motions to Reopen, Motions to Reconsider, and Motions to Administratively Close Removal Proceedings. “One-step” green card cases based on marriage have always been a significant part of his practice. Leo also provides assistance with visa processing through a U.S. Embassy/Consulate, and dealing with the various problems that arise when dealing with a U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
In his spare time, Leo is an avid photographer. In addition, he has judged local and international photographic salons for over thirty-five years. He is married to Leili Tajadod Pritschet, a very successful local artist whose paintings also grace Leo’s office.
